Help is needed from my fellow Redwood owners. Bedroom slide attempts to go out on one side but not the other. Is it the motor? Gears ? or both? Seems I can hear the motor running. I know this has been addressed before but I am unable to find the post.
Sounds like you're talking about the Lippert Schwintek In-Wall Slide-Out.
Have you checked the controller in the basement to see if the Red LED is flashing a code??
We had that system on our '12 36RL and when we had an issue the flashing of the LED gave a code on the chart and I was able to put it in manual mode to get the slide in as we were on our way to a Service Center.

Like Michelle says, check the controller for flashing light code and it should point you in the right direction. We had a broken wire on one slide motor that indicated a ground fault. Replaced the motor and it’s been good since then.

Well I made it home and got the Slide fixed. The Lippert Schwintek In-Wall Slide-Out motor was a still good. It came unseated. How I do not know. The screw which should hold it was still intact. Let me tell you. Who ever engineered this,,,, it should be mandatory for you guys to have to repair these. This is a beast to fix. No codes on the controller. The motor was not shorted out. And the motor is still tested good. I am so thankful this was the front motor. All I can say is if it were the rear motor that was the problem I have no idea how you would get to it. Again, REDWOOD and any other RV company who uses this should by Law be required to repair and fix these type of problems. This is not cool. I will never trust mine again.
