I have a 2014 38RE which from time to time, the LCI touch screen will throw a "communication Error". I will reset it and its fine for a couple of weeks and it will do it again. I am not having any other leveling issues. I have searched LCI troubleshooting guide, but there is no reference to this error code. As anyone experienced this error and if so, what was done to correct it.
I had a similar issue and ended up obtaining a replacement control board from Amazon. My board would display "Communication Error" and still worked fine. Then after several months it began to fail to display on the readout so I replaced it. It worked fine after that. Don't be afraid to call Lippert Components and talk to them about trouble shooting your problem, they are always great at customer service.
