I am aware that owners of earlier RW models with the Lippert TriGlide pin box have replaced this pin box due to failures, safety concerns and general lack of confidence in this pin box. I have a RW 36RL with the TriGlide pin box, which I have kept greased, and have had no problems with it until recently. I started to hear noises coming from the TriGlide and couldn’t keep grease in it. I contacted Lippert and explained my situation. Lippert requested pictures of the pin box, including pictures of various pin box identifying numbers, picture of the trailer specifications tag, and my registration. I was recently contacted by Lippert and informed that they are replacing my 18K TriGlide with a new TrailAir, FlexAir 21K pin box, including one hour of installation labor, all at no cost to me. Obviously I am very pleased with this outcome and pleased that Lippert has a policy to resolve the issue with TriGlide owners.
That is good to hear as Lippert has not always been easy to deal with. They swapped out my failing tri-glide for a Flex air, the ride was much improved..
Then my next Redwood came with the Morryde pinbox, NIGHT AND DAY better then the Lippert Flex Air... and I don't have to worry about filling the air bag up when it leaks down.
