 Hope everyone is doing well. So this morning before work I kept hearing something?Well just my luck the Valtera adjustable pressure regulator had a casting failed?Constant small spray of water through the night most likely. So the reason for this post is that water was able to make it into the drop frame underbelly. So I removed the screws and got most of the water out. It's about 9 degrees right now so it's not the best time to play in the water under the coach? Just something for everyone to be aware of should they have a leak in the wet bay. Happy camping

Good tip! I’ve had a brass “Y” crack and leak, and I had a “Y” freeze up at the tap even though I had a heated hose. Cold weather will do strange things.

Do you keep the regulator inside. I keep mine out at the tap to help protect hose from over pressure as well.  That is a lot of weight combined  with the hose hanging g off the city water connection

Hey Shane, yes the regulator is installed in the wet bay. I was a plumber for 15 years so I tend to go overboard with my water connections?I actually took it to the RV dealer where we purchased it and they called Valtera, replacement on its way at no charge so the warranty is great. On Further inspection it appears that the water exited through the access hole and ran back under the underbelly.

  The great thing is that Redwood fasted the dropframe underbelly below the frame so that it's relatively easy to access the tanks and plumbing connections. We are now in year six of living full time in an RV so doing our best to keep an eye on things is second nature. I even have a new furnace in the basement ready to go just in case??? learned that one last Christmas when our furnace fan motor failed and of course no one had one.

  Lol sorry that was alot of babbling to answer your question. The regulator is in line with pex and supported, I will post a pic tommorow, have a great night.

Good afternoon , so I got things buttoned up and dried out, looking closer at the wet bay the entrance for water cable etc , they used a old style power cord hatch, works great but out of curiosity I pulled the screws to see if it was sealed and NO it's not. A little silicone and I feel better, also if you look on the bottom of the door side it's not sealed either. Not that anyone wants to have lots of water in the wet bay but it seems a little may have seeped under the basement floor covering. Something to check out as a precaution.

Just tried to upload a pic. I clicked "Choose a file" at the bottom of the "Reply" page, a blank screen with two options to "Attach" or "Insert" into post, I clicked "Attach" and my pic directory came up. I clicked on the image I wanted to upload, then clicked "Insert into Post". Let's see if it works.

Now I'm going to try two larger images, doing the same thing.

@mmpacker

Step by step:

Click "Reply"

Click "Choose a files" at the bottom of the reply box.

Click "Add an Image"

Click the image you want to upload. It will process that image and return to the "Add an Image" or "Insert Into Post" screen.

Click "Insert Into Post".  Your reply (preview) will not show the image, but show something like {attach}xx{/attach} but when you post the reply your image will show. Let me know if you have any trouble with that.

Sometimes logging out and logging back in might help. Let's get this figured out!
