Steve
Awesome, I will be there in about 6 weeks !!!
That looks like something that would have come off a Deuce and a Half!! :woohoo:
NICE!! And it looks reliable!
Good to see, getting ours at the rally
What kind of price range does that fall in?
It looks like you're getting a 2-fer...The axles are upgraded (probably to the rating they should have been to begin with) and the disc brakes are added (another should have)...
Joe
How's that trailer riding now
We drove home the 700 miles yesterday afternoon/last night and I am not sure why I waited 11 months to do this?
The ride was no comparison , even to the sre4000, where my wife used to say " bridge , hold on" , she said at the first bridge and followed it with WOW.. Never heard it again.. It truly rides like a different trailer...
Recap-
We arrived at MORryde at 1pm Thursday , the did all the weights and measurements , determined that I need to be raised up 2" ( were at 12'11") , and also decided to go with the 8K for the future..
We then were backed into the shop , at that point we left to do some sight seeing, when we got back, we had a key to get in the shop, the trailer was up on blocks.
Friday at 6am, we needed to have ALL THE SLIDES IN so they could get started, that was a pain, but doable.. It was a long day driving around the area.. We visited Redwood , Shipshewana , Notre Dame , all the touristy stuff..
Saturday again at 6am, slides in, so we went to Grandmoms Pancake House , thanks to a great tip from Vaughan !! THANKS VAUGHAN!.. And back to Morryde,, we were done at 10am , loaded up and went to Tiara RV to dump all the tanks..
We hit the road at 11:15AM and got home to eastern PA at 10:30PM...
This will be my first upgrade with any future trailer...
Joe ~ if yours is like ours, the ride will only improve as it gets more miles. Before we got the IS done, Tracy (and to an extent me too) was ready to trade the Redwood back and get the h@#% out of it. She would wince as a bridge or railroad loomed in the distance as would I.
Now, unless it is REALLY bad, she doesn't even look up from her book and the cats are still asleep in the back.
I'm really waiting to see after we install the Comfortride Hitch as Rick assures me it will even be improved from now .........
Oh, and we've gotten to the point that the coffee maker, toaster oven, paper towel holder and a bunch of other stuff don't get put away and just live on the stove counter. Only time anything moves is if I've got to climb all over the brakes (love disc brakes) or we hit a REALLY bad stretch of road.
Like you said, will never own another fifth wheel without IS and Discs.
That looks like something that would have come off a Deuce and a Half!! :woohoo:
NICE!! And it looks reliable!
I was going to say locomotive, but deuce and a half works 🙂 Nice!
I am thinking when I get my MorRyde IS installed the end of July, I might also switch the Pin Box to the MorRyde Pin Box.
Wonder if anybody wants a 6 month old Trail Air Tri Glide (Remember, Redwood replaced my Pin Box the end of last year)
Has anyone installed the MorRyde pin box after having the IS put on? I am really trying to decide whether to add the pin box also. Get a lot of chucking with the triglide. I have the Firestone ride rite airbags on tv and have been wondering with this and the triglide are the two fighting one another when going over rough road. When we hit dips in the road it feels like the pin box is going to tear out the tv suspension at times. MorRyde says it will help with chucking, just cannot decide what to do.
I had the MorRyde Pin box on my previous SOB and really liked it.
I have decided when I get the MorRyde IS and Disc Brakes installed at the end of July by MorRyde just prior to the Rally, I am going to have MorRyde take my Tri Glide off and install their MorRyde Pin Box at the same time.
Hope I am doing the right thing, guess I will see after everything is done.
I've said this before and I'll say it again: I think the ideal setup would be the original TrailAir hitch with just the air bag, with the Mor/ryde King pin. The air bag for the vertical shock and the Mor/ryde King Pin for the horizontal/chucking push/pull.
I don't want to give up my air bag on the pin, so that's why I'm still considering a switch to the FlexAir Pin Box. Just not sure if it will improve the tow enough to be worth the cost.
