RV Technician Training

For those new to the site and have not yet attended one of the Shipshewana Rallies, there are classes available (in and outside the rally) wherein you can learn a ton of information about maintaining and repairing your RV. By taking one of these courses, you may find yourself well positioned while parked in campgrounds to pick up a few extra bucks (when you want) when campers need help. Just stick a sign out front of your RV and you're in business.

We've gotten to know Terry Cooper (and Lady E) as we've attended these rallies in the past. He is a top notch instructor and you will learn a lot! I would recommend his training any time.

I was reading over RV News this morning when I came across this article. It will give you an idea of what he can provide:

I would recommend anyone new to rving to take a course in some system or another.
As far hanging a sign in a campground, 99% of the ones I've been in don't allow that, as far as helping others, I've helped countless fellow rvers with all sorts of issues & never made a dime, or ask for any money, have been paid off in adult beverages a few times though.

Terry Cooper (Texas RV Professor) and Lady E will be back at Shipshewana again this year.

Terry will be repeating his 3-day maintenance course, which was well attended and received last year. This is a condensed version of his 5-day RV technician course and it aimed at RV owners to give you a better understanding how systems work and how to maintain/fix them.

I completed Terrys course last year...a small fee for a ton of training! I highly recommend this course. Even if you are not going to be doing the maintenance yourself, it will give you a great understanding how all of the major systems on your RV work. This can be invaluable if you need work done and want to better protect yourself from possibly being ripped off due to lack of knowledge about your RV components/systems. Terry is a great instructor, and he makes the course fun as well!

Judi & I can't make it to Shipshewana this year, but we will be there for 2018 and will definitely be signing up for Terry's course, if they return next year.
