Even my SRW and Titan system only runs at 7 on an every day basis.
I looked for the setting in the Truck App and couldn't find anything.
Checked the manual and only found reference that Ford has tested the brake controller with both electric and hydro/electric trailer brakes.
Called Ford customer service and they were less useful than the manual.
I am due for my 60k service so I'll ask the dealer if they know anything.
Just curious Vaughan, what year is your truck?

Not near as exciting as brakes but got the RW back home from the door adjustment, it sure is nice to close the door and not make the dogs a block away start barking.
Can not post the directions but will e-mail them to someone that will, just send me pm with yours.

Ken,
On our 2016, it is located in the "Driver Assist" menu. I select Driver Assist, Trailer Brake and then Mode to select either Electric or EOH.
I believe it was similar on the old 2012.
Ken ,
I also have a "2015" Ford...
There are 2 settings in the dash settings . .
1 to choose between electric only and electric/hydraulic
and then there is one for the intensity.. low-med-high
It is under driver assist I believe in the settings menu
So to follow up......
Because of Vaughan's and everyone's persistent help I have a resolve on this issue.
I have found the setting and it is under Truck App-->Driver Assist--->Brake Mode.
First the good news. Factory setting was set to electric/ electric. I changed it to electric/ hydrolioc to match the disk brakes on my Redwood.
Bad news (sort of). The option in the Truck App only shows up when a trailer is connected to my rig. When I looked last night it was after I already dropped and disconnected the rig it didn't show. Today underway I looked with the rig connected and sure enough the selection for Brake Mode was available in the Driver Assist menu.
So setting to Electric/hydronic has made a noticible improvement in my braking. Hard to explain other than to say it feels like the Truck and rig slow as a unit rather than the truck providing the braking power. I've gone with the 6.5 gain setting as in earlier posts and seems to be spot on.
All that said you would think my dealer either Truck or Redwood should have said something especially since I told them I'd never even pulled even a small a boat. But alas no, I have to wait to learn it here.
This place rocks. Way to go ROG!

Glad we could help Ken. Play with the gain a bit while you're on the road. I've found in the hills and mountains I've gone as high as 8 depending on how much I wanted the trailer to do the braking. Those discs on the trailer are very effective and will haul the whole rig down very quickly when needed.
Glad to hear you are all fixed up and ready to brake ! ! ! 🙂

That's a really unusual setup. It's funny how you can get more information from these blogs than you can from the sources who built these things.
It took some punching around on my Ram. I don't have to have the trailer connected to see these. There are 4 settings available. I'm not sure what the actual voltage difference is between them but one of these days, I might have to put a meter to it and find out.
Ken,
It only shows up when the trailer is connected because you can customize for different trailers and it will remember. Mine was set for hydraulic-electric for the redwood and electric for the boat and it knew when I plugged in which one it was.
Ya, that is the behavior I would have expected.
I apologies though, I totally mis-spoke in my last post. Just for grins I went to look at the setting this morning and couldn't find it even though the trailer was connected.
Turns out the Driver Assist is under the Settings Menu not the Truck App. I just checked now with the trailer disconnected and the Settings/Driver Assist is available.
I also noticed that under the Truck Apps the trailer is listed and on the options screen it does remember the gain that was last used when it was connected.

After months in the planning stage - we finally have a new resting place for our RW.
She fits in perfectly ... and there's a spot for the tow vehicle too!
WOW!! That's extremely nice! (All of it).
Back in the late 1900's (late 20th Century), we used to have a barn just like that. I wish we still did but then again, in the neighborhood where it was, property taxes were eating us alive!
I am not jealous over much, pretty happy with everything I have..
BUT - - - OMG, I am jealous of that shed-barn-garage ! ! ! Looks GREAT !
I keep telling my wife when she is looking at new homes that I will not move till the new place has exactly THAT already there! Or a place for one..
Great looking building! I have one similar that is forty by one hundred and I just back in and disconnect and I'm done. It's great when the storms run through Tennessee.
