I would take the posting of issues as a feedback to Redwood (in a positive manner) to let them know what they need to improve. I have had all the issues listed (plus a couple more) and most of them I fixed myself. I don't mind doing the repairs but I shouldn't have to do them, and it would be tougher for people who aren't handy or don't have the tools to do the repairs.

Our Redwood is the first 5th wheel RV that we've owned that was manufactured in Indiana, the other 4 were all manufactured in Canada. Those others had much better quality and fewer issues than the RW. Not a specific comment about Redwood but about the poor US industry quality.

You can spot roof sag by how the wiper seal lays across the super slide (large slide). If it lays horizontal on the roof at the outer ends, but hangs in the center or doesn't even touch the roof in the center, time for steel reinforcement across header behind the facia.

We had to fix our Montana that way. Redwood was getting there, but not to the point it needed repair.

I like most of your feedback. Well written. But as for

"• At the 2015 rally, the ROG initiated discussion on implementing a transferrable warranty. This was an industry first, when implemented in the Fall of 2015. The initial transfer required a fee, but the new CR/RW President advised that he removed the fee. Therefore, an owner selling their coach may transfer the remaining warranty to the new owner, at zero cost.",

we received the big kiss off and go somewhere else basically. So to that end, we can't agree. The 2+5 means nothing to us apparently. We were there at that 2014 Rally. Wish it were true. Apparently we were not the only ones brushed off...Never again....

GipC,

My apologies, I should have qualified that the warranty transfer is only applicable to coaches with the 2-year warranty. It is not applicable to those of us with 2+5.

Unfortunately, being on an extended cruise, we couldn't attend the 2015 rally, so I am unable to comment, and have limited experience with the previous management team. However, the management team has changed.

I really do encourage you to come up to Shipshewana in July and give them a second chance. You listed a plethora of issues with your coach, so who better to address them than the exceptional service centre techs. These chaps are amazing, and everyone that attended the rally in 2016 was blown away with the service they received.

As owners, we also received tech service at the 2015 rally, but I never heard the same level of positive comments. So what changed??? At the 2017 rally, I am certain Randy and his amazing Redwood techs will provide the same exceptional service, so please, if your schedule permits, head up to Shipshewana and give them a 2nd chance.

Vaughan is doing an exceptional job; and, if possible, is scheduling an even better rally than 2016. Unfortunately, we had already booked a trip to UK, so our next rally will be 2018. Hope you make it in 2017 and see you in 2018.

We have plans to attend but it will depend on when I get the roof fixed. That far, it might just come off. For now, I'm contacting alternate resources to see what the costs are. I can't let this go. That's 1038 miles.

With the list still open-ended, they would need it for a month. I understand that they only handle 2 small items.

I appreciate your comments and we look forward to attending if possible.

Nice try but we're never at home long to enjoy it yet...We're still working...I guess we'll have to work and extra 6 months to pay for all of these repairs. 🙁

On the warped door I was sent the information to adjust it. This has fixed mine for now , nice to be able to let the neighbors sleep when the door is closed not slammed to close.

Will be happy to send them in for the tech. information section but need email address to send them to. (send PM with your e-m address)

I have to say we sold our 2014 (04/2013 manufacturer date) this last May, and the couch and chairs were pristine. It was stored indoors.

Have others had that kind of degradation? Sun, heat, chemical??

Ours stayed in storage most of the time. It did not seem to matter.

Cheap plastic. We'll recover in real cloth materials. Ahhh the 60's!

Our couch looks brand new as did our recliners until this past Dec. when we replaced them, after 4 years of use they didn't sit like new.

We have had similar degradation as the picture shows, the plastic coating separates from the fabric underneath. The arms on the chair also have the same degradation. Ours is a 2013 manufactured early that year.

Similar experience with the "pleather". The chairs were oversized and uncomfortable as well. We replaced them with swivel rocker recliners which are much more comfortable, better built and better sized. Got them at :

www.opulencehome.com

Liked them so much we bought another for our home.

in the RV, do they swing around and hit the walls? Are they "bigger" than the regular RV recliners. Just curious. Obviously they seem to be working. Thanks for the suggestion though.

The reclining chairs are not wall hugger's but they have no problems with enough space to recline in our 31SL. When traveling we swing the chairs around 180° and prop them against the wall with a pillow in between. They do not swing around and travel well that way. The chairs are much narrower than the factory supplied chairs so there is room to add a narrow table, and we have plenty of room now to pull the chairs back on the dining table which used to be a squeeze.
