Vaughan ,

Did you reach out to Onan of Indiana? I wonder if they would be interested in showing up? Perhaps with a table, display and possibly rally special generator PM service??

2017 Redwood National Rally Update

We are just finalising and testing the online registration process, which should be open and available by Wednesday 15th February. Our thanks to Ken, as he is spending many hours getting it set up, which is testing his web design skills to the max.

Vaughan is currently on the road, but is working on a post outlining the content/schedule he has arranged for the rally, to date. He is planning to have this update available by Monday 13th February.

Please remember, attending the rally is a 2-step process. In addition to the online ROG registration, you must also reserve a campsite, by calling the campground. Please do not use their the campground's online registration process, as you must call and advise you are attending the Redwood Rally. While they require a credit card, no registration charges are processed on your card. All camping fees are payable upon arrival. You can reserve a campsite at any time.

Spoke with the camp ground last week. They were very helpful and extremely nice. Reservations make, membership paid, now just waiting to register! We met Jay Cauble over the holidays in Navarre, Florida and he encouraged us to attend the rally. We are really excited.

Ben & Karen,
You will not be sorry you attended. It is a great time. We learned so much and met new friends that we still keep in contact with. Look forward to meeting more.

Likewise, we can't wait to meet everyone I've visited with on this site. Jay told us we would learn so much and the perks of getting small things fixed.
See you both in July!

A quick reminder for all those interested in attending the 2017 Rally, we are offering a discounted fee for ROG paid members.

The registration page automatically sets the fee based on your current membership status.

Therefore, if you are not currently a paid member and wish to save money on the registration fees, please upgrade your membership before signing up for the rally.

For 2 attendees, we offer a discount of $30 to paid members. New members can join for only $15 per coach.

Might be interesting if each Redwood was identied on the outside with a year and model number. Rallyers could find and meet folks with similar coaches to compare.

Many of us have the same sign from past rallies. Maybe we can add stickers to the existing signs? Anyone getting a new sign for the first time could add it then?

I'm not totally in the know but I don't think new signs for first timers is on the plan. I'll defer to others that know more than I.

More Rally Weigh info:

Here is the Smartweigh info for the Rally:

Smartweigh will be available again this year !!

Al Peterson from Escapees Smartweigh will be on site at the Rally from July 16th ~ July 23rd. As you know, the actual Rally dates are the 19th ~ 22nd. Most people leave either Sunday the 23rd or Monday the 24th. We will have it set up this year so that there is a dedicated pull-through site available for the weighing process. Hopefully no bottlenecks at the entrance.

With this thought in mind, we are encouraging as many people as possible to schedule weighing the rig on your way into the site. You then stop back over to weigh the truck only and he can go over all the findings and advise you. Appointments for weighing upon arrival are available from 7/16 through the morning of 7/19. Starting on the afternoon of the 19th, he will have a sign up table in the tent and can schedule your truck to be weighed and then do the rig when you depart. Weigh times are available in 1/2 hour increments.

Please contact Al directly by email arp43a@gmail.com to schedule. He does accept cash, check, and credit cards. The fee is $55.00.

The email should have subject "Redwood Rally" and include the following:

Name
Phone number
Arrival date
Estimated arrival time.

This weighing is an individual wheel weigh. More accurate than a CAT Scale as you will know side to side differences and individual wheel weights.

Just a small correction, I think Ron meant 7/16 - 7/22

RALLY ACTIVITIES UPDATE

MORryde will be offering a seminar, plant tour and lunch on Thursday 7/20 .

They need an accurate count of attendees as they will be providing lunch. MORryde is in Elkhart and is about a 30-35 minute drive from Shipshewana. If you have never been there, are considering their suspension upgrades or any of the other products they offer, I seriously suggest you plan on attending.

To attend, you must contact Gary Wheeler (one of the greatest guys in the world) preferably by email, to let him know you're coming and how many.

The tour starts at 9:30 and you will be back after lunch.

email gary.wheeler@morryde.com
