Are we getting a discount off the regular campground rates for attending the rally?

Yes but you need to contact the CG by phone to make the reservation. Don't reserve on their website.

Just spoke to them. Sounds like it's about a $2 discount per night

The discounts I negotiated were:
- If staying for a full week, you pay for 6 nights
- If less than a week the discount per night varies depending on how many sites are booked
- 90 is $4 per night

While I have no idea how many have already reserved a site with the campground, based on my registrations and vendors to date, we are over 80, so the current discount per night should be $3. If we get 90 or more, the discount will increase to $4.

When I discussed fees with them, you should receive the weekly special then the other 3 nights should receive the discount based on number of sites we reserve. With vendors, we should now be close to 90 sites, which is $4 discount per night.

I'd wager that about 5 of those nights, maybe more, when the place is full of fellow Redwooders you won't have cared what it cost you, you'll have fun running out your ears, will have made several great new friends, have met countless great folks, possibly some FREE work done on your Redwood & will have learned things about Redwoods & rvs in general that you'd never thought of. IMHO it's worth twice the cost & I've only been able to make one of the first rallies when there were only 30-35 of us attending, unfortunately won't be able to make this one either.

I have paid a lot more for campground sites around the country, and I'm not worried about this price, but if the ROG negotiated a certain price then charge that price.........
