President’s Summary, April 2020

The ROG board held its monthly meeting on April 14, 2020 at 11:00 EST. A quorum was present.

1. Summary of Special Meeting held April 6, 2020.

The board voted unanimously to cancel the 2020 Redwood National Rally due to the current COVID-19 national emergency. This includes:

• Refund all rally registration fees.
• Refund all Redwood garden flag orders.
• Cancel all campground registrations.  Shipshewana South Campground has assured us that no cancellation fees will be charged.

2. Requirement for the Annual General Meeting (AGM)

The ROG bylaws call for an AGM, but specifically state “Where possible, the annual AGM shall be scheduled to coincide with the annual National Rally.” The board voted to use online conference methods to hold the annual meeting on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, with additional information to be provided to the membership, including online voting. Official notification will be provided by May 15, 2020.

3. Financial Report

Jeff Robinson (Treasurer) provided the March financial report. Beginning bank balance was $25,550; income for the month was $2,171; expenses were $84 leaving an ending balance for March of $27,637.  

Refunds for Rally registrations should be processed by the end of this week.

4. ROG Decals

The ROG decals have been ordered and arrived. The board delayed discussion about mailing each ROG member a decal until more information is obtained on the cost of mailing.
