President’s Summary, August 2020

The ROG board held its monthly meeting on August 11, 2020 at 11:00 EST. A quorum was present.

1. Financial Report. Jeff Robinson (Treasurer) shared that the July financial report reflected an income of $325 (mostly new member registrations) and expenses of $25 (Zoom account and PayPal fees) for a net income for the month of $300. Bank balance as of July 31 was $14,400.

The board voted to change bank authorized signatures to reflect current board members and officers.

2. Secretary’s Report.

The board asked Patti to publish the results of the 2020 Annual General Meeting on the website and the Facebook page.

3. Virtual Rally Recap/2021 Rally Plans.  The 2020 Virtual Rally was deemed a success by all accounts from the Board. The format seemed to work as a good alternative to meeting in person, and the interest level from those who participated gave the board incentive to pursue a monthly or quarterly “Tech Talk” Zoom session with interested owners.  Dave Connor was willing to take the lead in scheduling and promoting these sessions, with the first Zoom Tech Talk planned for October.

The board is working on making the 2020 Virtual Rally videos available to the membership.

Lisa Price has scheduled the 2021 Redwood Rally for July 17-24, 2021 at Shipshewana South Campground, Shipshewana, Indiana. She is in the process of planning for a full in-person rally.

4. New Business. 

ByLaws Review. The board formed a subcommittee to review the bylaws for any recommended changes to be presented at next year’s AGM.
