Board Meeting Summary, October 2021 for the months July, August and September, 2021
The results of the 2021 Annual General Meeting:
- The bylaws revision was approved by the membership.
- All board positions (new and re-election) were approved by the membership.
Finances:
The bank balance starting August 1, 2021 was $16,396. We had $384 income and $168 expenses, leaving us with a bank balance of $16,613.
September had income of $305 and expenses of $107 leaving us with a bank balance of $16,810 at the end of September.

While our membership is holding its own, we’ve had much discussion on membership retention, and possibly sending a follow-up email to non-renewals to find out if we could have served the membership better.
Other business:
- The board made the decision for the 2022 Rally: Shipshewana South Campground, Indiana, July 16-23, 2022.
- LaMesa RV is interested in formalizing a relationship with Redwood Owners Group. They want to partner with us in various RV shows around the country to promote the Redwood brand. While we want to be respectful towards all dealerships, we see a great benefit in finding dealerships that ROG can recommend to its membership for both sales and service, and will pursue this relationship.
- ROG will be sending a new “thank you” letter and Redwood Owners Group sticker to the entire membership in the next few months, and send welcome letters and stickers to all new ROG members.
- We have confirmed that Redwood is placing ROG stickers on new Redwoods, and know of at least one new member that joined because of the sticker on their unit.
- We are researching the original intent and meaning of “Charter Membership”.
- Redwood Roundtables. Jeff Webber is working with Dennis Harmening to develop a schedule of several months’ topics for the monthly Roundtables. The board agreed the Roundtables are providing a valuable resource to our membership.
- Prize winners from the 2021 Virtual Rally will need to claim their prizes from Stitches on the Road by November 30, 2021, in order to close the 2021 Fiscal Year with no liability toward prizes.
