When opening the main slide-outs on our 2017 31SL, the kitchen slide opens first followed by the dining slide. We don’t have clearance to open the kitchen slide all the way in our storage location, but do have clearance to open the dining slide. So what I want to do is open the dining slide without fully opening the kitchen slide. My speculation is that both of these slides are on the same hydraulic circuit, and that the kitchen slide moves first simply because of actuator loading etc. Does anyone know if that is correct or have schematics of the hydraulic systems? If I physically restrict the kitchen slide, will it force the dining slide to go ahead and open?
If all slides are hydraulic you should have an isolating valve for each slide in the battery compartment. On our 36FL we have 3 hydraulic slides, so have a bar with 3 individual valves. They aren't labelled, so it is trial and error.
Once you close the valve it should isolate the slide from the opening/closing.
In the battery compartment, in the vicinity of the pump/oil distribution box, look for a couple of small round disks, with each attached to a centre spindle. If you have 2 hydraulic slides, you should only have 2 valves.
The other option is to operate the slides manually, using an electric drill to operate the pump. Check the Lippert manuals in the Technical Library for instructions.
Andy,
I don't understand your last paragraph. Why would operating the pump with an electric drill be any different than the normal pump operation with the 12 volt motor? How would that allow opening a single slide on the common hydraulic slide operation?
Terry,
Since our coach is down in Lynden for storage I tried to find a photograph of the isolating valves online, but no success. Therefore, I wasn't certain that Lippert still includes the isolating valves that we have.
Therefore, I mentioned the manual operation, as a 2nd option. I haven't had to operate the slides on manual, but have used it for the legs.
So your electric drill reference was with regard to operating the hydraulics when their is no power or a hydraulic pump fault. Not referring to selective slide operation. Thx.
Hope it is not illegal to refer to the other forum, but here goes. There is a photo of the valve assembly on the other forum.

Bruce - the ROG is all about helping RW owners, so we have no problem making any reference that helps to solve any issue, problem or challenge.
Please feel free to post a link to the valve photo to make searching easier.
Thanks for your considerations but it is "not illegal" to refer to any other web reference here that maybe useful to our members.
We do not sensor our members posts unless they are illegal and to date we have not had to do that to the best f my knowledge. We may redact or otherwise modify posts if they are directly against the safety or privacy of our members.

Ok, I correct myself. There were some additions to the Technical Library which we had to remove because due to an over abundance of caution may have been copyrighted material we were not allowed to publish. This was an internal issue and had nothing to do with member posts.
That situation was quickly resolved and was long ago.

Thanks everyone for your help. Went out to the RW today, and the isolation valves worked exactly as described. I closed the kitchen side valve (where I don't have clearance to fully open the slide), and open the dining slide only. I then opened the kitchen valve to open the kitchen slide only as far as I needed. Thanks again!
