oooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
I have found that one side leaks at times, Going to the factory in 2 weeks to get it checked, along with a list of other items. I'll get back to you on what I find out.
We've only been in our 17 39MB for a little over a month but experienced the same during some heavy downpours in south Texas exactly as you described. We are attending the rally in August and will bring this up to RW.
Have you tried putting Rain X in a bottle and spraying it on your cable? Rain X is very hydrophobic and shouldn't allow it to bead on the cable. Might at least be a temporary fix.
You also might want to try HydroPho by lotusleafcoatings. Water can't bead on the cable and run it. It won't even get the cable wet in a heavy rain.
I am having the same problem. Did you find the solution?
Had RW look at ours at their Customer Service center just before the rally last year. They found a seal incorrectly installed under the BR slide so they completely removed the slide and installed new seals. Wish I could say it solved the issue. I do think it it helped somewhat as there doesn't seem to be as much water, but it's still there. We have spend some time looking from both sides with slide in, out, and in-between and honestly believe it simply condenses on the cable due to temperature differences etc... Haven't tried the RainX yet but now that we are in one place for a couple months will give that a try. We do plan on bringing it back up with RW at this year's rally.
My rv was taken to the redwood center they removed the slide and installed new seals then they did the rain test and had no leaks. The rv was returned to me and I set the rig up an hour later it rained and the slide leaked. Redwood has had three different rv repair service people come to us to trouble shoot the slide and they have tried everything to find the leaks and can't find where it is coming in from. they have eliminated the cables. Two of the guys said it might be a bad build or it is seeping down from the roof some where. Redwood is working hard to find the problem.
Our bedroom slide also leaks. The service center had the slide out after the rally last year and rebuilt some of the frame work and installed all new seals. They said they took it to the rain tester and said it did not leak. But did say in a driving rain it will still leak. it does still leak but no where near as bad.
Have friend with an MB that does not leak. Their bedroom slide is on the gear system, not the cables. Wonder what the difference is in the frame and seals.
Rick
Thanks everyone for your response. Our leaks seem directly related to how much or how hard it rains, so I can't wrap my head around a condensation problem. I will keep working on this and let you know what I find out.

We had a leak in our unit. Turned out the screws in the strip that holds the roof membrane near the top of the slide were overtourqued and stripped. Water was coming in there. The wood was starting to rot. I pulled the screws, filled the holes with sealant and reinstalled screws. Haven't had an issue in over a year. Good luck on finding your problem.
Those that have had leaks, does your RW have a bedroom slide awning? I am wondering if having one would help. Ours does not have one and it leaks.
Rick
We have had a deluge of rain here in socal
Without toppers and no leaks on our swintech slides or our 2 hydraulic onrs
We have a friends with an MB built a few days after ours, theirs has the swintech slide and it does not leak. No slide awning either.
Ours has the cable slide mechanism, no awning.
So what is the difference in the seals/frame that is causing the leak?
Rick
Rick, the difference between the slide outs could be in the size (dimensions) of the box and the wall opening. The Schwintek in wall system occupies more room than the NORCO (BAL) Accu-slide cable system. If there was a running change from one system to the other , that alone might be the cause. You might want to measure slide out boxes on both your coaches. Might be interesting to see the difference. You might want to get your friends' vin number to see if there was an ECN done by Redwood at that time. (Engineering Change Notification). Different slide systems have different requirements for gaps, etc.
Chris
OK, our '16MB VIN 5786 has the BAL Accuride Cable system and has been in all types of weather, even 8" of heavy wet snow and no leaks. We do have slide toppers and have been living in in since new in March of 2015.
