So the Redwood is at the dealer getting a couple small warranty items looked at , 1 was the rear LED lights on the awning will not work.

They told me the wire that is sewn into the edge of the fabric is bad , so they are going to replace the whole fabric ( warranty ).

The question I have , they are not the alumaguard awnings , and was told early on if I wanted to add them , I would have to replace the fabric...

If I want to upgrade to the guard ,It seems to me that I would have to also replace the arms too ,due to the additional length of the fabric ?? What do all the experts say ??

I believe the arms are the same length but the fabric is shorter as it attaches to the uni Gaurd instead of the side wall. I could be wrong though

Shane, that's what I was told by a salesman (Yep his lips were moving) when I looked into upgrading to the unigards.

Redwood just told my dealer that since it is being replaced under warranty by Carefree , it hard to be an exact swap...

Sooooo.. I asked carefree direct. ,and received the same response....I cannot pay for the upgrade
