We just recently, purchased our 2017 Redwood 38 RL, we upgraded from our other 5th wheel, I have noticed that after staying somewhere with the slides open for a week or so, the main living room area hydraulic slides seem to take their time to start moving in when closing up. I push the switch and it took about 15-20 seconds for the slides to start moving in. I can hear the motor running and it has the normal high speed pitch sound, it does not seem to be dragging or caught on anything, Fluid levels also seem normal. I'm taking it in on Monday to have a few upgrades and will talk to them about it but would like to know if anyone else has experienced this. Comments or suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks
Michael Stark

What temperature are you moving them in. When cold out they will slow down

We are here in South Texas, mid 60's at the moment, and it not that they are slow, motor starts and nothing happens for about 15 seconds or so, then normal movement occurs. And it's only when it's been sitting open for more that a few days.

Thanks Again
Mike

Could be air in the lines. Try cycling the slides and Jack's all the way out and in a few times. This will purge any air in the lines if that is the problem

Sounds like air to me also. Next time you're hooked to your truck, all slides in & all jacks raised, check the fluid level it should be 1/4"-1/2" from the fill port at that time.
