When we left CT yesterday for MA, our main slide was hanging up.. It started as normal , then the top seemed to be stopping while the bottom kept going..
After several times, it settled in and was fine..
Looking at everything today, it all looks to be in order, BUT there is alot of black , binding marks on the side of the slide.. And the seals are very tacky..
My thoughts are that if i wax the sides of the slides , and recondition the seals i should be Fine?
If wally world does not sell slide conditiiner, what say the pros? Baby powder?
Inquiring minds want to know....

Service center recommends "Pledge" furniture polish on the slide seal, I buy the cheap imitation at Dollar General & have had no issues with slides sticking or seals getting gooey. Also periodically I spray all the gears, rams, all the mechanism under the slides with silicone spray, which I buy at wally world called "Slide Spray" if I remember correctly & has worked just fine & much cheaper & easier to find than the CRC.

When we first picked up the RW, it was only 6 months old or so. I never gave much thought to the rubber seals.
About 1 year old, I noticed the slides started to leave black streaks all over the slide outs. I would scrub and scrub each time they opened.
About 1.5 years old, they acted the same way you are describing. They would hang up. I finally had 1 seal tear. I always thought rubber would remain somewhat flexible.
Soon after, I tore one of the slide rubber seals about 4" long. Out of the clear blue, I knew it needed to be lubed. I went down to Camping World and bought some ridiculously over-priced slide seal lube ($14 each - It took 3 cans to do all of them).
Then Danny and some of the others offered up their suggested methods. I have not tried them yet as the last slide seal lube is still working. I will probably try their methods as they are a lot less expensive.
On the drive shafts, like Danny, I use the Walmart special brand. It is silicon based and won't collect dirt like WD-40 for this application. You can probably use any silicon based product off of the shelf though. Buy what's cheap as you will be doing this chore about once a month or so if you want to keep them functioning.
While you have the slide lube out, you might as well hit the door hinges, door latches, and everything else that squeaks or sticks.
Then, you might as well get your grease gun out and hit the Tri-Glide (9) grease points.
And finally, when was the last time you pulled your grease caps off to see how much grease was left in the wheel bearings?
Like Danny, I also use furniture polish - the cheap no-name brands.
Tried the talc powder, but too messy. The polish works way better.
Well , I used the pledge like all stated , I waxed the slide sides... This morning when packing up to leave , the slide went in like it was supposed to :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
Thanks for all the tips... I was worried that I had a larger issue then just that.! !
