I was checking out the June issue of Camping World and noticed that on page 11, there was a photo of a Redwood featured in their Solera awnings & accessories Ad. Pretty cool!

I like getting the Camping World flyer...But we don't buy there. It's too overpriced.

CW does have some pretty good sale prices, but their regular prices are on the high side.
We ordered from them a lot in the early 70s when they were just a mail order house. Place an order on Monday and usually would be sitting on the door steps when we arrived home after work on Wednesday. Place an order with them now and it can be weeks to get it.

Funny story, GipC, but true....

Not only overpriced but sometimes not 'sell-able'. We were visiting our daughter when she worked in Richmond, IN last summer. We were heading for KY after that and were concerned because we didn't have a 'step-down' 50 to 30 amp connection and didn't want to be without it at the campground we were going to.

There were billboards plastered on the interstate that a New Camping World had opened, and that was just a few exits away from us! Whew!

We went in to the store (which was in the process of being remodeled - after the store was purchased by Camping World from a well known and retired local dealership).

We found the part we needed, and proceeded to take it to a salesperson (there were 3 of them 'shooting the breeze' at their desks only a few feet away from us). We told them we wanted to buy the connector but weren't sure of the price as it was not in the right spot on the shelf. They told us that the store wasn't open for business and they couldn't answer our questions and couldn't sell us anything.

Long story short... we bought our connector at a small 'Mom & Pop' dealership in KY on our way to the campground. We didn't need the connector at all, but we had it 'just in case' from now on. The dealership was so small, we had to have them back our RW in tow, around and facing out for us, LOL!

Rookies, I tell ya!
