Gentlemen,

To facilitate uploading the problems and solutions to the website can you please submit all responses in a MS Word format (docx/doc). It doesn't matter which version/format, as I am currently using 2016, therefore I can read the current and all older formats.

For photographs, my preference is .jpg I'm not concerned with size, as I will re-size and compress, as required, prior to uploading the image.

Your assistance in providing these formats is greatly appreciated.

Greg/Rob - I was unable to upload the pfd of the Air/Con article, can you please re-post in a Word format.

Thanks,

Andy

Andy, are you asking for the word format on the ones we've already submitted or just future ones?

Al.

Morning Al,

Apologies, I should have been clearer.

With the exception of the update Greg completed on Rob's A/C solution, which was a pdf attachment, all previous solutions are OK and I can work with them.

I can also work with any solution that is pasted directly into a forum message. Anything that is included as an attachment, my preference is to receive in a Word format.

While I am still learning the backend software, to create a webpage I have to upload the text by cut/paste into the new article page I create. Then I have to upload the image(s) to our server, and then import them into the new article.

To summarise - solutions directly in a forum post are good. For any attachments my preference is a Word format, but pdf definitely doesn't work.

Progress update - I am having some challenges developing the menu structure and I spent most of yesterday trying to fix. Need some help from Ken and once he has an opportunity to assist, I will get it up and running. You will then see your solutions being posted as I get them uploaded.

Andy

I was able to copy and paste an entry from the forum into a pages document on my iPad and then converted to a word format on the iPad before sending it to Andy. However the photographs do not copy.

Thanks for the clarification Andy.

Jut a comment for those who have a "hate on" for Microsoft. I use a free program called Open Office that mimics Word, you can save documents in .doc format in an older version of Word. It also has spreadsheet and presentation programs similar to Excel and powerpoint.

I'll send future submissions in .doc format with the pictures sized and imbedded in the document.
