Ok the saga continues.

We've moved to Lost Dutchman and have a great spot. Decided to set up the hot tub in the screen tent and what a great idea. Now we can watch the sunset in privacy from the comfort of the hot tub!

Ken, I am super impressed! We gave up our hot tub when we sold our SnB and it's probably the one thing that we miss. While we stay at some parks that have hot tubs, we've never been inclined to do much "public" bathing.

A couple of practice questions:
1) How easy or difficult is it to move/transport by yourself? Is it awkward to stow? Where do you store it when transporting?

2) Do you have a simple formula for chemicals when you set it up? At SnB, I used a "maintainenance" powder that was one scoop/week and one scoop of chlorine per week. How does that differ from your chemical maintenance with a portable tub?

And love the screened in porch! Talk about privacy and a bug-free environment!! DW will get pretty excited about this.

Iceman,

The tub deflated is small enough for me to put it in the back of the truck. The filter/pump I put in the back seat and the other odds and ends (deflated top, ground mat etc) I threw in the kitchen. I don't think I would want to do it for long pulls, but the short pull we did from Cave Creek to Lost Dutchman (70 miles) it was fine. When we leave AZ in January I'm going to store it at my parents house until next year.

Water maintenance is the same with this tub as with any other tub except its about 1/2 the amount of water. I got some Bromine starter/shock and a small bottle of 1" tablets for the floater. I did use about 1/2 the starter I normally do in my regular hot tub at my SnB house and 1 tablet in the floater dialed all the way down to 1 opening.

Since I plan on draining and filling every 2 weeks as we move around AZ I doubt I'll even bother with the pH balance.

My DW was pretty skeptical when I told her I was going to get it, but last night as we sat in the tub and watched the sunset with a cocktail she was very pleased with the experience 🙂 .

So third spot for the tub has been awesome. So far we've used it every day shy 3 and it has been great. We move tomorrow back to the first spot for another 2 weeks and will make sure to orient the tent for optimal sunset viewing.

Will set it up one more time before we leave it here until next season as we head for Texas.

Fits perfectly in the tent on our spot at Usery.

And what a great way to enjoy the sunset with a glass of champagne after tubbing to cool down (life is good!)
