We’ve decided to stay where we are in northern Arizona for the winter. Do need to go home to the east coast for about 4-6 weeks to see family and do some other stuff.

Don’t really want to pull tha RW across country and back for just that trip. It occurs to me that a truck camper might be just the thing. My Dually has the factory camper package and also airbags and hd swaybars.

Anybody know anywhere or anyone to possibly rent one ?

Did a quick search on the internet...That seems to be an area of "opportunity" for the right person interested in starting a new business...

Anyway, here are a couple of starting points. You might try calling to see if anything is close to you. Some may be local rentals only. The first 2 seem like national companies:

Found this site for small towables if that works:

Vaughan

You're only a short day's drive from the Mesa area where there should be either a private party or business that would help. If it was a month later, we would be there and maybe could help. You are aware of course that Page is a little chilly come December and January. Maybe you should investigate something in the Phoenix metro area and stay a little warmer. I would think Page would really fold up their tent in the winter, but have never been there after October.

If you have accommodations on the other end of your trip I'd think driving Fred the Focus staying in hotels would be cheaper than rv rental, campsite fees & diesel.
Our son rents rvs thru a service on the air base & in my opinion are a bit pricey, like $400 for the weekend.

You're probably right Danny. And the fact the Focus gets around 40 mpg helps too.

Jim - we've both been offered fulltime to stay for the winter and next season. Too good n offer to pass on. Know it will be cold at times but kind of looking forward to it. We've had coach in really cold weather and even a blizzard

From our experiences it's a much easier to keep it warm than to keep it cool, especially where you've spent the summer.
Looking at Page's annual weather it doesn't usually get too cold there in Jan/Feb, possibly just below frezzing early in the mornings, mid 40s to low 50s day time.

Agree. We were in some really cold weather last winter - in Pierre SD we were in a blizzard. 15 degrees, 60 mph winds and 22" of snow. Coach did fine, 70 at all times. Here in Page this summer we were able to hold 82-83 in 105-110. After adding the EZ Shades to the outside of the windows interior temps dropped 6 degrees.
