Driving by our dealer this afternoon so we stopped in to see what they had in stock. The sales manager mentioned they had a 39FL and 39MB in stock, so he handed over a master key and let us loose on the lot.
We especially wanted to see the 39FL layout without the rear door, but we immediately noted that both doors were present. It was also a 2016 model, so maybe you can still get the FL with 2 doors. Other than the rear door, the floorplan was similar to the one on the website
Our impressions, compared to our 36FL, are:
- Pass through basement is a definite improvement, although the water filter isn't any easier to access.
- The Level-Up controls were on the fwd bulkhead on the driver's side inside the basement. Don't like this location, much prefer it on the outside.
- Living room, nice to see they have restored the larger entertainment centre, but don't like not having the recliners facing the TV.
- Slides flush with the the living room floor is a huge positive.
- The large shelf between the LR & kitchen has been deleted, which is a disappointment, as is deleting the curio shelves on the bulkhead.
- Kitchen, they have deleted the short pantry and moved it to the rear bulkhead, while it is taller, it is way too narrow. We consider this change a negative.
- They have also deleted the coat closet with the tank/slide controls. The tank indicators, slide controls, genny start, are now on the pantry bulkhead in plain sight. We find this ridiculous and significantly degrades the coach. This equipment should be in a cupboard.
- They deleted the corner spice cupboard in favour of a deeper corner cupboard. Again, we are not in favour of this change.
- Redesign of bedroom cupboards is good with the larger TV.
The easiest way to tell the new models is they have the straight roof line, if the roof line slopes towards the rear it is the older layout.
Also the rear storage door on the new layouts hinges down instead of to the side.
Did you notice if/where they installed the ROG sticker?

Ken,
That was one of the things I wanted to see, but completely forgot. I expected it to be in the cupboard with the tank indicators, slide controls, etc. However, that cupboard no longer exists and they are all stuck on a kitchen bulkhead.
