There should be a law that you don't discuss Christmas til after Thanksgiving!! Most of the places we shop have had Christmas items on the shelves for 6-8 weeks already & still nearly 2 months away.
WOW! Does that sound BAH HUMBUG??
I like Christmas, just not for 6-8 months every year!
There is a reason for the season & it's NOT shopping!!!
Not to start something nasty, but I wonder how much longer we'll be able celebrate the REASON for the season before it offends somebody? Just like prayer, "in God we trust", confederate flag, historical statues or any mention of the civil war?????

I'm with Danny.

Our Thanksgiving is October, so we used our son's birthday (Nov 25th). No Christmas films, carols, decorations, etc until after his birthday.

I agree, The reason for the season... I have always said Merry Christmas, I just hope it does not get me shot some day...
I heard the other day that a few schools up in Massachusetts have decided that is was not proper to celebrate Halloween... They have renamed it Black and Orange Spirit Day.. Really ???? What a disgrace..

Sorry folks, didn’t want to get that worked up...

I for one am amped for Christmas. It will be our first long trip in the Redwood. We are spending 3 weeks away including a week in Fort Wilderness over the prime holiday. My DW has been on chemo full time since August and the doctors are scheduling a break for this very trip! I plan on making it the most awesome Christmas ever. I proposed to my wife at the base of Cinderella’s castle under the fireworks 20 years ago glass slipper and all. If this is meant to be our last big trip we are going back where it started.
