Do You Ever Think About Selling Your Redwood?
Interesting article on "re-sale"...
I know it doesn't really apply to the Redwood Classification of RV's, but it is interesting to see what "others" are really interested in. The article can be found here and was published 02/29/16:

Top 10 Researched Fifth Wheel Brands
Keystone 44%
Jayco 14%
Heartland 11%
Wildcat 5%
Crossroads 5%
Prowler 5%
Coachmen 4%
Forest River Cardinal 4%
Cedar Creek 4%
NuWa 4%
It seems many are interested in the Keystone (Montana I presume), Cardinals, and Cedar Creek models. At least Crossroads made the list....

We are just into our 16th month of ownership and I think we may finally have most of the bugs worked out. We did look at a Mobile Suites a few months back but there was no wow factor when we walked into it and maybe just that model, so guess we will keep the RW for now.

No
Have all bugs worked out and have done to many enhancements to get rid of it
No have way to much work in on this one to not enjoy it for many more years.
We really like our front living floor plan and the fit and finish of the Redwood.

We love our RW. If I traded it, it would be to get another one. I am very happy.
We did trade our '12 RW 36RL on another unit, but the new unit is our '16 RW 39MB.
The point was that Redwood did not make the top 10 list...I guess the research or interest is lower than a Montana...I would have thought that research or interest would have been much higher...We must be some kind of a special breed...
We love our Redwood.... No chance it leaves our driveway, unless being pulled by us on a trip....
No the big reason is price point you have to compare apples to apples. Montana are a lot lower class than redwood drv etc. We are in a smaller buyers market than the cheaper trailers

I give up...I thought I made that point with the first post as well...
When we were shopping DW said we could look at anything but a Montana, she said "everybody has a Montana I want something different".

Keystone is much bigger than just Montana, and they probably sell 50 Montana's to every Redwood, and they have been pumping out the Montana since 1999, so the fact Keystone is at the top is not surprising. Redwood not even showing up is not surprising either. Heartland is a relatively young pup on that list as well.
Had two Montana's before this Redwood, and I would argue that the Redwood is much closer in class to the Montana than it is DRV. With the exception of the last two years where Montana got real cheap, I would say the Big Sky Montana was an equivalent class to Redwood. They are designed exactly the same, with similar features. Neither Montana or Redwood come close the construction or class of DRV.
It won't be long that all the so called high end 5ers will be just alike, Thor owns all of them. We had a Big Country bought just prior to Thor owning Heartland & were very pleased with it, only 1 warranty repair (leaking slide hydraulic ram) in 5 years of fulltiming, but when shopping the new ones they just looked & felt cheaply built, even the Landmarks.
There's a New Horizon here now & we weren't impressed with the exterior, too big & bulky looking & their poor choice of color.
