Ok... RW owners. We all are interested in the RV lifestyle. Sitting back tonight reading some posts and thinking about Hobbies in general. Most have something they do or collect so lets here about them.
Myself and wife are collectors of anything that catches our eye but mainly we collect, buy and sell anything related to Breweries and advertising pre 1950. We search antique stores when on our journeys in hopes of finding a new piece.

For us it is taking lots of photographs of our world travels and running them on a monitor as a screen saver. We enjoy sitting watching them and identifying locations.
For collectibles, we collect a variety of nick knacks from the various countries we visit.
Going to Disney. Seeing how much Disney stuff I can work into my life, such as silverware, dishes, etc. In between Disney trips, traveling. I try to take several long weekend trips to different cities every year.
My kids have been fortunate to have seen a lot of the country, but it's getting harder to get them to go to Disney with me anymore.
Steve -
Thanks for pushing me over the edge on this. I've been working on getting ROG Groups up and running for a number of months and haven't been able to clear my 2do list enough to feel comfortable to launch.
Well seems crazy but now that I'm back on the road heading north and able to focus on what is important to me, traveling, enjoying the RV lifestyle and taking in all that is the vast adventure that awaits, I actually have time to focus on digging deeper into the ROG, the website and sharing our travel experience.
To that end, and your push, I've opened ROGroups to all members. A formal introduction will follow on it's own thread but for now please feel free to dive in and create your own groups. When you create a group you can select "Hobby" as the category. I'm very interesting in building up our category selection which is part of the launch process, so please let me know what you think.
Anyway, I'd like to consider this as a soft launch. I need to work out a good way to roll this out and build it into what will benefit our membership as well as finalize all the goodies that come with the ROGroups, but it's a start anyway.
Thanks again for the push.

That's a lot of "stuff" to get into your RV!
How did you do all of that sheetrock and paneling?
That is so cool!
To date our RV hobby has been spotting Eagles. We purchased a pair of super binoculars for this hobby and also go hiking deep into the forest to spot eagle nest. They are very beautiful to observe. We also follow online eagle cams which are of interest.

That's easy for me since I am a builder / finish carpenter. What your seeing with the paneling is actually our worst room since I am always changing things on the walls and it is also my home office. The other room is our kitchen and our complete house is filled with advertising. Drastic downsizing is in progress and storage in the works since we will go full time in 2018.
Now on the other hand if I open the hood on our truck with the diesel.... I have no idea what to do except pick up my phone!

Ditto, I once bought a jeep with 5.7 hemi in it. The salesman asked if I wanted to see the engine. My response was "Why?"
Now that's funny... The days of my Chiltons book along side of me are long gone...
Same here Joe. Raced in my earlier years, thought nothing of pulling an engine apart and in fact put myself through school after the Marine Corps as a foreign car mech in a shop that specialized in English Sports Cars. Still have a bunch of Bentley manuals and a garage full of tools.
Now all the service work is done by the dealer I looked under the hood of the F350 and just said "huh, guess there is a motor in there somewhere". Lol
That's funny Vaughan... When I first got married, my neighbors HATED me.... I lived in a townhouse and our building was right next to the pool... I did a lot of surf fishing and driving on the beach, so I would re-pack my truck bearings every year to keep the sand out... All the neighbors had to walk all around my wheels, hubs, axle parts , and greasy parts because I would have than all spread out on the walkway... Bunch of snobs !!! 🙂
Over the years I have rebuilt more engines and repaired more cars than I care to count.
Today I open the hood on my truck occasionally to make sure nothing is falling off or leaking.
Well, I guess my hobby is photography. I am a retired teacher and football coach of 38 years and now I love the RW and traveling and photography.

Same hobbies - travelling and photography, and I am also a retired football coach, having coached both our kids for about 25 yrs. Only difference is I coached the footie you actually play with your feet (soccer in N/America). 🙂
