Sitting in Elkhart @ Pro Custom waiting for correct rear cap to be delivered by Tiara. They are a Newmar Warranty facility. I have been here since the 18th and had a chance to talk to many, many Newmar owners. Makes me feel better that I only spent $100k for the same problems they spent $400k on!

It's a shame that the entire industry has issues... it really makes you wonder.

Seems all of the manufacturers tout all of the many years they have in the RV Industry...why then do we see the same issues year after year, manufacturer after manufacturer, with the same issues. Seems about time that someone gets it "right"!

Until laws change (since companies won't), we'll continue to deal with this problem. Legislators are not going to listen to US until we band together and complain loud enough. Are you ready?

The only other way is with your wallet. Don't buy if you don't want to fix.

For us, it will be a long time before we purchase another. We've spent way too much time repairing (rebuilding) this one the way we want it. It's a good thing we purchased 2nd hand. If we had bought this brand new (even though ours was only 3 months old at the time), we would have been livid. But, by saving so much on the front end, it allows to rebuild on the back end (both figuratively and practically). We will admit that so far, Redwood has been good to us at the rally last year by taking care of a couple of small items. The bigger items such as bigger axles (8000# vs 7000#), disc brakes, an armor roof system, "H" rated tires and in this case, installing 18,000 BTU Heat Pump units should all have been mandatory. Not an "option" that the previous owner did not understand. And find a better way to attach trim for cry'n out loud. Not just with Redwood, but with all manufacturers, where are you getting these engineers? AND why are you not listening to your customers? We're trying to help you be the best-of-the-best. Not another mediocre middle-of-the-road, high or overpriced unit. WE ALL expect better quality and we're willing to pay for it (as long as your not trying to overprice/super inflate the unit).

Just another sad day for the RV industry. Look pretty...Forget quality...

On our current brand, the majority of the parts are made in house and have been for decades. The only reason I bring it up is the irony that the only issues we have had or are having (not serious) are with the three systems they outsourced to Lippert!

Far less depreciation also. What happened to the previous cap?
