We have a 2015 39MB. At our "home base", we would like to connect to the internet via a landline as that would be the cheapest option for us to get internet when we are at home. Centurylink has told me that there should be a place on the outside of the RV to connect, but we cannot locate one. We did have an outside connection on our old HiLo. camper. Does anyone know if there should be a connection that we are overlooking?

We have Century Link internet when we stay at our winter park in AZ. The DSL connection hooks up to the phone jack in the street side convenience center (water hookups, sewer valves, etc.) That connects to the phone jack in the middle cabinet above the television in the living room, for connecting the modem.

We have NO such connector on our Early '16 MB, just coax connectors for Sat 1, Sat 2, and Cable, but no phone or data jacks.

Thanks so much for your reply! My husband said that he checked that area but still cannot find where we can connect. I am wondering if it is possible that they stopped adding a DSL connection after 2013.

Looks like you are faced with either installing a weatherproof phone connection on the side of the RW close to where you want your DSL equipment to go in the RW (we had our dealer do something similar for our satellite internet coax connections).

As a temp measure you could fish the phone line through the slide rubber seals into the RW to get to the DSL equipment.

Our 2013 has the phone connection as pictured in the post above, it terminates in the entertainment section on the slide

Interesting. Our 2014 36RL had the jack, but I never knew where it terminated inside until now. In fact, I don't think I even remember it being there until I just now looked at the picture.

We did have the connection on our '12 RL, but as mentioned, not on our current '16 MB.

My 2012 36RL (built in Aug/Sept 2011) does not have any telephone/DSL jack as you have shown. Mine only has an AC receptacle there Did you buy your Redwood new or used? If used, previous owner may have added that telephone jack.

Ya, this was my May 2013 36RL. It had the phone jack..

Trivia - In 2012, what options did Redwood offer that was installed where the phone jack went in later years?

Answer: A tire pressure monitoring system!

This video and one other is what we watched endlessly before buying our May 2013 (2014) Redwood. This guy did a pretty good job - made some stuff up - but overall we got a good look at the 36RL. Quite a few things on this 2012 were changed by 2014.

Our 2013, manufactured Nov 12 also has the phone jack. I believe they may have stopped installing them around the time of the 2014 rally.

Thanks everyone. I know now that we have not overlooked a DSL connection because we do not have one. For us, it would definitely be a plus to have a DSL connection. I would think that it would be for many others as well. We are inquiring about having one installed. Another expense....

I would think that would be a fairly simple install unless you're wanting/need it to go up the walls or through the attic.
