We are curious about the annual RV show in Quartzsite, Arizona. Has anyone been? Is anyone going in next year (Jan 19-27, 2019)? http://www.quartzsitervshow.com/ (also posted in Facebook, but I know not everyone uses Facebook)
Yes, we go most every year. I like boondocking (dw doesn’t care for it much). The tent and surrounding area has everything that did didn’t know you needed, RV wise....and more. It’s amazing to see a small desert town of a few thousand swell to 500,000 or more. The event has seemed to lose some its popularity the past few years.
Our tentative plans are to be there around 1/22.

For those attending or wintering the area, I've "heard" that many snowbirds returning have their favorite spots and think they own that land. I'm not sure how one addresses that issue...
We've never been yet but it is on the 2020 calendar for sure if we don't make it this year.
I am curious of there is a designated "area" where Redwoods are wagon-trained?
I have gone for a few years, I drive over from Borrego Springs with a friend who has a Grand Design 5er. I enjoy the show, there are a lot of vendors in the large tent and lots of RV's on display, unfortunately there has been no Redwood presence there. Grand Design had about 30 RVs there last year, my friend was very pleased and he checked out his next potential purchase!
For us, it's too busy to camp there, and it's a nice run from Borrego Springs, the diesel fuel is much cheaper there as well!
