Rats...
Hopefully, none of us ever run into this issue:
They know a thing or two because they've seen a thing or two...
Where have I heard that before...?
We ran into a similar problem one time when we stayed at a Passport America campground in Kentucky on our way back north from Florida. The campground was built in what was a former farm yard area. We stayed there 3 days due to bad weather (rain and lots of wind). The second day we discovered evidence of the critters having been on the island counter top. We had never before had any mice in the trailer. So, I went to the local Walmart to get some traps. We caught 2 of the critters and have never seen any evidence of mice since then.
After some investigation, I decided the mice had crawled up the water hose supply line into the utility cabinet, then squeezed past the door into the storage area. They found their way up into the interior of the coach, crawled up my laptop computer power cable which happened to cross the coffee pot power cord and crawled up the coffee pot power cord to the island counter top.
That night, I disconnected the water supply line, set the traps and the next morning I had 2 little critters that became campground cat food.
That was the one and only time we stayed at a Passport America campground...........just wasn't tooo impressed although I realize this could have happened anywhere. But, come to think about it, it never has happened anywhere else in some 37 years of camping.
Reminded me of a funny story my neighbor had. They full time in a Montana Big Sky and a small spotted skunk somehow got in at their rear cap. They heard something running around in their attic space and thought it was a squirrel. Later that evening Carolyn pulled open a drawer in their kitchen island and came face to face with the critter!!! Can you imagine opening a drawer to get a spoon and Pepe La Pew is sitting there! Luckily these spotted skunks aren't very aggressive and he didn't spray and the exterminator caught him the next day. He was a cute little devil! Lol!
