Attached is the brochure on the new iN-Command system, which now comes standard on all new Redwoods.
Does that system totally REPLACE all the light switches ? I am old school ,I like switches..
Agree...The more "electronics", the more problems. Keep it simple...Keep it reliable!
Joe - I'll try to find the answer to your question
Thank You Andy.
The new iN-Command sytem will come with a wiring schematic for each Redwood. It will be a first for the industry to provide it with each coach. It will be attache3d to the inside of the iN-Command panel. Fantastic idea.
Tony - do they also have manual switches for the lights, slides, etc or is everything controlled by the tablet?
Andy,
The switches are still there. It is now a dual system.
Tony
That is good to know
Thanks Tony
Thank You Tony (and welcome)
that makes me feel better !
I agree with the others. As long as there is still manual controls for everything, I wouldn't be so opposed to the In-Command or any other remote control type system. Just hate having to use the phone or tablet to turn on a reading light.
Agree that regular switches would be necessary. Would hate to wake up in the middle of the night and fumble around to find tablet or phone to turn on a bedroom light. Attached are 2 pics from the Redwood Plant tour showing the iN-Command system in a unit that was online.
Chris
From the pics, that looks expensive and yet another electronic gadget to soon fail. I'll reject that option when the time comes and upgrade to some other device. Maybe the 3rd A/C unit instead...
It is not an option, it is mandatory. I like the new system with it standard automotive relays. It is complete with a wiring diagram for easier troubleshooting. Looking forward to seeing the first units with the new system.
Thanks Tony - sounds interesting, especially when backed up by the manual switches
