Well said Shane.
We just returned from our local Remembrance Day ceremonies at the Cenotaph, which we attend every year. It never ceases to amaze me the number of veterans, some well into their 80's and 90's that make the trek from the local Legion to participate in the parade.
Both our kids attended every year and our grandson, at 22 months, just attended his 2nd Remembrance Day ceremony, proudly wearing his poppy.
Fortunately it wasn't raining on the West Coast this year, so our veterans stayed dry for a change.
To all my fellow veterans........I salute you and say thanks for your service and sacrifice.

History note"""" The US Coast Guard Cuter Taney WHEC 37, Moored at the Maritime Museum in Baltimore, is the last floating ship from the Pearl Harbor Attack.

You are correct ~ The Taney is the last floating ship from Pearl Harbor. We live just on the north side of Baltimore and I have been on her several times.
Many thanks to all my fellow veterans ! Semper Fi !!
