Just installed Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 airbags with a Wireless One controller on my 3500. The Wireless One manual says "to avoid cold weather freeze up: add 4 0z. (1/2 cup) of "Gunk" brand air brake anti freeze directly in the air bag”. I haven’t seen this mentioned before on any forums. Do you all commonly do this?

I had the same air bags installed on my 2012 SRW. Don't recall seeing that in the manual and also haven't seen it mentioned in any forums.

Didn't experience any problems, but also we avoid the cold, probably only experiencing temps of -1 or -2 (30F).

I installed the Air Lift 5000 bags on our truck also. Purchased the remote controller wireless air compressor, but haven't installed it yet. It's still in the box after 2 years. I purchased the air brake line anti-freeze like they suggested, but haven't put any in the system. I keep our bags at 10-15 psi loaded or unloaded so I am not constantly releasing air or introducing moist air that could freeze. I think more problems would occur if you were constantly going up and down with the pressure and lots of air exchanges in the bags. If it's not broken, I am not going to fix it. I don't see the need to put it in even in our harsh northern Indiana winters.
