We're going to be in the Tampa area in January. When we head back north we are going to swing over to Pensacola to see family.
Looking at the map, we'd like to drive the coast highway and take 319 around and over to Pensacola. Is that do-able with the rig or are we nuts and should we stay on the big highways.

Not sure of the 319 as have not traveled after leaving in 1982, but in the pan handle US90 and 98 are great.
HOHUM RV Park (located on the main road inside of the barrier island)is a nice park as are many others in that area of the lost coast (check out the islands for cam grounds) visit a couple of the light houses.
Will spend the month of September (10th) to October !!th at Camp Gulf which is directly on the beach in SanDestin, Florida, and a couple of days at the Blue Angle RV Park in Pensacola, there is also another military park next to the Light House on NAS Pensacola if you are federal retired.

Hope that helps you some.

Pensacola Beach Resort is beautiful out on the island, a bit pricey but what a view.
We did part of 319 a few years ago but don't remember from where to where, it was fine with the rig though. Did 98 last year & stated at HoHum, nice place.
