More posts like this one Rob and we will all be waiting for your new truck!!!! Yup.... waiting to see the pictures and makes me feel like our 15' is getting old now.

the air assist will/can lower the rear by 1" to help hook /up/in, then reset an it it keeps the truck level.
Heck of a softer ride unloaded than the F350, only has 51 miles on it but plan on going camping this week. Nice to be retired.

I think the advantage with the factory "Air Assist System" on the Ram is the Leaf Spring Pack is much smaller because of the Air Assist which will give a much better ride unloaded.
Also from what I can see in the pictures there is no overload leaf springs with the Air Assist package to launch you out of your seat when hitting those bridge entrances and exits.
Picked up our new 2018 RAM 3500
So far real impressed with the ride, drive, features and options.
Will make our first pull with our Redwood in a couple of weeks.

That's a good looking truck! I don't have any stats to prove it, but from what I see on the road I'd guess the Ram truck has probably taken the #1 tow vehicle spot.

Just got back last Friday from the Florida trip, (1400 miles) average fuel mileage towing and local driving was 14.3 mpg.. on the way from Destin to Huntsville was 10.3mpg. Think it will improve when worked more only 2150 miles on it today. 2017 Laeirame). Exhaust brakes were nice just quietness was better in the '11 F350. Overall happy with the TV
Congrats, think and hope you will have 750,000 miles of no problems.
Congrats on a very nice truck.
Thats a sweet looking ride Rob..
Good Luck with it!
NICE!!!!!!!!! Looks great!!!!! Enjoy the new toy.

Beautiful! I'm surprised Dodge hasn't gone through a facelift like the other two - guess the others were trying to catch up to Dodge 🙂
I removed the "Chevy / Ford" CAM Module from the Titan Brake Controller wiring and did a test pull Saturday morning.
All went well, the RAM sits a little higher than the GMC did but only an inch or so with the "Alternate Tow Height" engaged.
Went to a empty parking lot and checked all my height measurements and all looks good, have about 7 inches clearance between truck bed and trailer. Measured front and rear frame heights on trailer and it is level within an inch or so, I am good to go.
Did not pull on the interstate yet but did pull about 10 miles down highway US 27 south which allowed me to get up to 65 mph. The RAM is quite different from the GMC as far as towing, lot lower engine RPMs towing and one thing I like is the exhaust brake stays engaged to a much lower speed when stopping than the GMC did.
The "Puck" mount Curt hitch setup was very quiet with no clunking starting and stopping like I always had with the "Rail" mount hitch setup. The ride was awesome with the RAMs "Air Assist Rear Suspension". Looking forward to some interstate travel in a couple of weeks on I-10 and I-75 to see how the RAM rides on Bridge entry and exits and interstate highway joints..
The start off the line at a traffic light with an incline is much easier with the RAM than the GMC due to the Transmission gearing and the 4:10 axle ratio. The GMC did ok but it did work when starting from a stand still on an incline, the RAM starts from a stand still on an incline with ease. Sure glad I went with the 4:10 axle ratio, I was on the fence about that choice, but after yesterdays test tow it confirmed I made the right choice
.
Overall very happy with the RAM and the choice we made, been taking a lot of ribbing from die hard GM friends and family about switching from GMC to a Dodge, but all in fun. They just wish they had one !!!
