We are needing campground between Seattle and Everett Washington. Any suggestions would be great.

Our son lives south of there in Puyallup & there are NO decent parks in that area. The one closest to him they pack in like sardines, you can barely get around the truck to go inside. Also plan to spend 25-50% more than any comparable park + electric.
There are a lot of state parks around, but go look without the RW first, they say they have big rig sites & they do, but with the low trees, tight curves, boulder lined roadways you can't get to them.
If I had lots of money, I'd build a rv park in that area somewhere, I think you'd have it full all the time.
BTW, the traffic in that area is by far the worst I've ever encountered.
If we didn't have grandkids there we'd never go back!!

George, Lisa

We have stayed at a nearby park in Kent, WA, between Seattle and Tacoma just east of I 5, but nothing north of that until Ferndale. Seattle-Tacoma KOA in Kent is a so-so park but we held a family reunion with Mary's family in June (Father's Day). Like most other parks we've recently stayed at, there is more and more permanent stays happening there, but there are abouta dozen or so large enough back-in sites that will accommodate our Redwoods. The Ferndale campground is The Cedars, getting close to the US/Canadian border. There seems to be a scarcity of parks around Everett.

Your comments are exactly what we have found. Very few that really fit big rigs.
Danny & Linda- we also would never go to that area if it weren't for our daughters and grandkids. We also have felt like the traffic is the worst!

We think it's a beautiful part of this country, but way too many negatives.

Lake Pleasant RV Park

Bothell, Washington 98021

My friend stayed here in his Redwood recently and said it is a nice park. It is between Seattle and Everett.

I grew up in Everett, and we lived in Snohomish before moving to Montana, nothing that I know of in that area. We are hauling over to Gig Harbor this weekend and will go through the North Cascades and Winthrop. I have looked for rv parks in the Seattle area since our son lives in Olympia. Gig Harbor was the closest.

We stayed at Gig Harbor rv park last summer & I'll say this "hold on to your wallet", it was $750 a month + electric & July 1 it went to $125 per day (summer rate), guess when we left. Several staying there were working the US Open in Tacoma & said they paid $1385 for 10 days, rather the company they worked for did. They advertised what a wonderful swimming pool they had which looked like it was filled with lime jello & signed read "closed for the season". Unfortunately as you said it's the only place close by.

Kim and I just checked into Toutle River CG in Castle Rock. We are going to Mt Saint Helens.
This place is awesome. Exercise trail with workout stations, tennis, basketball, disc golf, pool hot tub AND 2 Barrel Suanas. Used one last night fantastic.
243 sites. Highly recommend if it fits ur location. 93 miles from Seattle.
