Disney has closed the Disneyworld campground and cabin areas "until further notice" due to Irma damage. We are scheduled to meet daughter & family there in early October. They reserved a cabin, and we reserved a spot for the RW. Does anyone have a feel for how badly the area was hit, or how we can get more information? Trying to change reservations at this late date would be problematic, especially since we want to be on property at a relatively affordable rate. Thanks!
I am trying to find out.. My wife is a Disney travel agent..
Here is the info they are giving the agents -
All Disney Resorts have begun normal operation, with the exception of Fort Wilderness Campground and Disney's Saratoga Springs Treehouse Villa's
* We anticipate that the Fort resort will reopen sometime next week, but it remains closed at this time as we clean up the property following the storm
* To allow Disney's Fort Wilderness to prepare the property after Hurricane Irma, all shows at the Hoop Dee Doo musical Revue and Mickey's Backyard BBQ will be cancelled up to and including Tuesday, September 19. Any existing reservations will be automatically cancelled and refunded
* The Treehouse Villa's at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort are tentatively scheduled to reopen on Sunday, September 17

They are not the best at giving free tickets, or discounts.. We are allowed 1 reservation per year at 1/2 off, and she gets 1 of the 7 day hoppers for free for her only..
Believe me, if she could get discounts, I would be passing them all around here...
