Generally, our experience with TT has been very good. Campgrounds tend to be older, but many are being upgraded to be FHU and big-rig friendly. As a Redwood owner, the most important thing you MUST know is that most TT are first-come, first-served in your site selection. Your reservation means that the park has a spot for you. It does not guarantee you a spot large enough for your rig.
Our first experience was LaConner, WA, and that nearly ended our TT relationship. I did not know about the "pick your site" policy until I was at the gate house, and before I knew it I was heading down a one-way narrow lane with tree branches scraping the side of my brand new rig, with no way out except forward. I usually control my language, but not that time.
After that, I learned to do two things: ask the attendant every way I can think of where to NOT go, and walk the park before dragging the rig through it.
LaConner RV Park, WA. Lots of narrow lanes and a few loops wide enough for our rigs. Beautiful park right on coast.
South Jetty, Florence, OR. Nice park, reasonable accommodation for RW, lots of trees so no satellite.
Russian River, CA. Pretty tight park with a few spots that work for the RW.
Lake of the Springs, Oregon House, CA. Fine for the RW. Nice park with lake activities.
Tahoe Valley RV Park, Lake Tahoe, CA. Encore resort, big rig friendly, nice park.
Las Vegas TT, NV. Works for us. No problem with the sites and 24-hour security, but not in the best part of Vegas on Boulder Highway.
Thousand Trails Orlando on US 27 is an outstanding park. Lots of room and wide-open spaces. Great place for visiting Disney.
Hope that helps somebody!
