Traveling Safety.

Many of you probably read over the RV Travel Newsletter website each weekend ( http://rvtravel.com/rv-travel-newsletter-issue-817/), but just in case you missed this important safety article, you may want to give it some of your time...

A couple travels to Florida and encounters a "near-miss" crime incident.

These things are probably rare but a good reminder for all of us to stay vigilant while traveling.

Good info! As it states be vigilant of everything around you, but if you're running scared all the time you'd best stay locked up in your house as this can happen anywhere/anytime. As I've said, the what it's will drive you nuts if you let them, go enjoy.

Most of the time, you're not thinking that something like this can happen to you. And in fairness, it probably never will.

But I like hearing stories like this because it reminds us that it can happen.

And now that you have read about it happening to someone else, you can think about what YOU might do if it were to happen to you.

For me, if someone is tailgating in the same manner, a phone call will be made while in route to the nearest police dept (911) and I'll be watching overpasses (not only for height, but for idiots).

And not only criminals, but wildfires, bears, snakes, drunk drivers, insurance companies (getting deeper into your pocket), etc.

Like you said, its not about fear. Its about being prepared (mentally and physically). Now I can just go on having fun...

We were up there last year....It's still that way. Some of the cops, Fire Department, and ambulances won't go there in the day time either.

What a way to have to live.

There was a news story the other night that a young father was killed by someone throwing a rock the size of a tennis ball off an overpass. What people consider fun nowadays is far from what I consider fun, NO consideration for life or property.
