Getting through Yellowstone on US 20 and US 14 from West Yellowstone to Interstate 90 looks like a good road. Can I take my 38 ft 5er that way ?

You can fit. Just beware that you can hit major traffic jams in the park. There are no places to pull over so if a Bison shows his butt everyone stops and gets out to photograph. I sat stopped for over an hour because of something I never saw ahead. Kind of frustrating.

Most of the major Roads/Hwy's through the park seemed fine. We went last June with my 38BR and didn't have any issues or problems. We stayed in Colter Bay, West Yellowstone, and Cody on our trip and had no problems getting around with the trailer. Good Luck!

Like the other post mentioned just be prepared for a traffic jam because of people taking pictures of an animal.

Have Fun!

Just trying to make plans now for next July and August and I want to try to get reservations at camp sites this August. This what I have in mind so far but, would love all the input I can get please. West Yellowstone for around 5 days and then through the park on US 191 south to Jackson for 4 or 5 days at some camp site (unknown at this point) then get on US 26 to meet up with I-25 in Casper. Please help if you can on ideas......

My favorite campground in the area, is Colter Bay Village. I usually try to get a site as close to the lake as I can get.

In West Yellowstone I typically stay at Grizzly RV in West Yellowstone. https://grizzlyrv.com/

X2 what Moos said. We are working PT at Grizzly Park until end of September and it is a beautiful park, big rig friendly, reserve EARLY. We turn away at least 50 people a day.

Coulter Bay can be tight in places for your 38 but is a beautiful campground with nice amenities in the village.

Completely agree the pine trees can make it challenging for big rigs at Coulter Bay but its worth the stress once your in and parked. Just be prepared to have a spotter get out and help you watch.
