Tiffin Motorhomes limits their dealerships...They take customer service serious. If they have a "Bad" dealer, they pull their licensing. It's still a Family run business. Often times, when corporations get involved, the customer service goes out the windows to support profits. I wonder which direction RW will continue to go?

They could regulate it to point that no one could afford a popup & until they hire folks on the assembly floor that give a rats patooty about the work they do nothing will change. Pride in workmanship no longer exist in this country, as long as you show a profit it's good enough.

I believe this is the problem. As long as they keep selling, the manufacturer has no reason to inspect before and after delivery to dealer to make sure there are no issues. It seems the same with used car dealers who deal with all makes, out there on their own with no manufacturer to answer to.

We caught a lot of the things prior to purchase and made a list, unfortunately a week later, we were told it was ready, so hauled our trade-in down, completed the paper work, went out for the walk thru and NOTHING had been done! In addition, the ceiling of one slideout was hanging down. I had to get the manager involved and we were in Missoula all day waiting for it to get ready to drive the 2.5 hrs home.

So, after speaking 2 more times with Redwood and getting our dealer management involved, have some new information. Our rv had sat on the dealer's lot long enough to not be under warranty any more? Is this even possible? Redwood wouldn't pay for the roof leak repair because of that. The dealer is going to do the work and duke it out with Redwood. Looks like after 3 weeks, progress will be made when the ceiling panels and new island light are delivered. Hopefully sooner rather than later. Holy cow, I am exhausted from being the "squeaky wheel"!

I have to strongly disagree with you about pride in workmanship in this country!! There is plenty of it out there. What you are describing is the "wal-mart-aration" of America, where profits are placed above all else (safety, quality, made in USA, etc...) in the name of greed.

Sorry, but I couldn't help myself there. We need to stand up for the American worker. They are under an incredible amount of negative pressure from many sources.

Hopefully we all will get what we deserve and pay for...

There is nothing wrong with listing bad dealers as long as it's the truth. No slander there. Sometimes it takes a kick in the butt to wake them up.
