Has anyone installed the Moryde steps themselves?
Elliott,
I installed them on my “16” and it was pretty straight forward.
Thanks Joe.
Sure, the directions on their site are easy to follow also. Just make sure you do ALL you’re measuring twice before drilling into your floor... I think the edge needs to be 15/16” from the edge, more or less and the steps will hang up while folding.
We installed the new Lippert hybrid aluminum/steel steps. They look great and are less slippery. It's a two person job but they essentially are a direct replacement.

We replaced both original steps with the same ones. Very happy.
I also installed the Lippert aluminum/steel steps. All holes lined up except one which required minimal drilling. Clearances were perfect and steps are very light and function perfectly. My wife can even fold and unfold them.
Very easy install and took me longer to get the old ones off then install new which was about 30 minutes each. We love them and you can fold up with one finger!!!!
As stated above I think I had to wiggle a drill in a few holes since they were ever so slightly off.
We also like the newer one piece fold up steps but I still have a fear of me opening the door and having them fall on my head.
