We use the Eva-Dry Renewable Mini-Dehumidifier. Have 2, one in the front and one in the bathroom.

Will these units keep the humidity down even with the windows open?

Ken,

To renew the unit, where do you plug it in? It seems that if you plug it in inside it would just release the moisture back in the trailer.

When I plug mine in (about once a month depending on where I am) I do it outside.

The unit has some sort of small heater in it that warms the contents and causes the trapped moisture to evaporate reseting the unit.

Regarding keeping the windows open, that probably depends on how many units you have and what climate you are in. I expect the performance would be much different in southern Florida (very humid) vs. Arizona (very dry).

I would add though that when possible we keep the windows open and are happy with the performance of the 2 units we have but your milage may vary.
