My heater doesn't blow heat, only room temperature air, on the electric setting on my 38GK on both the furnace and the unit in bedroom. Any suggestions of what to start looking for?

Define heater. Fireplace? Heat pump? Furnace?

I'll take a stab at this...

Assuming you are talking about your heat pump...

Try turning your thermostat to FAN only. You can try A/C Mode as well, bu the fan is what you are interested in. See if the fan is running. If not, that is the source of your issue. The kits are available on Amazon for about $125. It could just be a capacitor or contactor as well. Each are about $25 or less.

In the electric mode, you are using your heat pump. Air comes from the ducts above.

In the propane mode, you run the furnace and the air blows from below.

If you are talking about your fireplace, it could be the ON/OFF Switch, a bad Heating element or the thermostat switch. You would just have to test voltage at each source location. Fireplaces run about $200-300 depending on model... The parts are a lot less. Switches might be $20 or so. The heating element would be about $100.

If the outside temp is much below 40 degrees the heat pump can't make heat and will just blow cold air.

Something I learned on our Redwood. We had two heat pumps. The thermostat with the furnace will shut off the heat pump and switch to furnace if the heat pump can't keep up (such as when it gets below 40). The other thermostat will not shut off the heat pump.

Staying in Neb one night it dropped below 30, the rear heat pump shut down and the furnace was working perfect, the forward heat pump just kept blowing cold air until I manually shut it off. The heat pumps don't draw outside air, but just recirculating that air with no heat about froze my cookies!
