I've developed a pretty substantial leak through the Grey tank valve and need to repair it but have no clue where it is located. Can someone who's had the pleasure of repairing/replacing the valve in this model guide me to the approximate location so I can begin taking down the cover?
Thanx,
Jim
I have issues with both grey valves. they don't close completely so I purchased a valve that goes on the end of the discharge line till I can get both valves replaced. Its a cheap fix for now. Camping world part.

Jim......... the grey tank valve is directly above the black tank valve. You will have to drop down the coreplast covering on the front end (left side) of of the bottom of the coach. The valves are just in front of where the boom comes out of that area.
I had to replace the black tank valve last summer and remember thinking that I hoped I would not have to work on the grey tank valve because it is above the black tank valve and will be hard to access because of its location. Of course during our stay in Florida during the winter, I started have problems with the grey tank not draining properly. So, one of my summer's projects is to determine why its not draining and why there is also a leak in that area.
Hope this helps.

Kenneth and Donna ~ Thanks for the suggestion of adding a valve but I don't think that's an option. I don't think there's a good place to add it with the boom.
Hoosierguy ~ Thanks for the guidance. That should help me gain access to the area.
I read that someone was looking at cutting an access port in the floor of the lower compartment so I may try that when I locate the area I need to got to.
Thanx
Jim
I added an extra valve on the end of the black piping before the boom (where the sewer hose normally connects). The boom has enough "give" to fit a valve in there and then connect the hose to the valve.
My gray tank valve is non functional but impossible to access without removing the black tank. So I leave the gray tank valve open and depend on the added valve for closure. Works great and I can tie the gray and galley tanks together for added capacity. Check the problem/solution in the Tech Library which includes a photo of the valve installed in the boom.
You may want to consider installing the electric valves...That's always an option for a project like this.
Here are some various pictures that might help. I don't know about your particular model. It will probably vary from these. I pulled down our Corplast and this looks like a real job...I hope we don;t have to do this often.
Here is the alternative. Just twist it onto the end of your main dump line. Make sure the stem is sideways or up.
Here are a few more pics that are of my 38GK rig. You'll notice that the valves are close to the edge but up in there...
Here is a better picture of the screw on type:
Greg,
As always... thanks for the thoroughness. Great pics.
