We moved to the Wind Creek Casino Campground in Atmore AL in an attempt to get out of the way of the impending Hurricane.
When we started out A/C units after arriving on Saturday, our front units fan motor started squealing pretty loud.
I took the cover off and put some 3 in 1 oil on the shaft and it got better but you can feel the roughness in the shaft when turning it by hand.
Guess I will order a replacement motor and change it out before it ceases up on me.

Rob, mines been doing that off/on for a year +/-, I oil it & it's good for a month or two. Please post where you get the motor from as I'll try to get to it this winter.

Which units do you have?

Dometic?

Heat Pump Y/N?

Both 15K BTU or 13K/15K Units?

Just an FYI...Dometic (and probably others) sell "kits". It's probably cheaper and less future pain to replace everything. Here is one example on Amazon:

Dometic? Coleman Mach

Heat Pump Y/N? Heat Pump on Rear Unit, Front unit making fan noise is not heatpump

About $120 for new motor with Tax and shipping from Amazon.

Motor was squealing pretty bad and was real annoying inside our coach. The 3 In 1 Oil helped the noise but it is still making noise. When turning the motor by hand it is not smooth at all. Guess new motor will fix it.

My acs are Coleman, nothing Dometic on my RW. The early RWs had Dometic appliances, but they must have pissed somebody off cause after the '12 models no more Dometic & still that way as far as I know.

Yes our Redwood was completely Dometic free, and Lippert heavy.

My 2012 36RL (built in August 2011) has Coleman A/C's, Suburban water heater, Dometic refrigerator and Dometic toilet. So far all have been problem free except that I had to replace the thermostats on the water heater in February of 2014.

Mine now has a Dometic toilet, used the crappy (pardon the pun) Thetford for target practice.

I agree, I made the change too, the Dometic toilet is much better than the crappy Thetford 🙂

Finally had time to go on the roof and change out my Front A/C unit fan motor.
Ordered a Fasco brand replacement motor from Amazon.
Pretty easy change out, new motor runs smooth and quiet.

Changed from the OEM Chinese motor to a Fasco brand Mexican built motor, hope the Mexican motor holds up better than the Chinese motor did.

Speaking of being on the roof!!! Re-inspected our 38GK and one of the attic vents had lost the screw on cover.
Just thinking out loud $22.00 and they said on replacement part for Keystone.
