OK...I DO understand why some would consider this a must have item, but I DO question the logic...

RV plumbing is not the greatest in the world to begin with. Small 1/2" Pex Pipe lines limit the amount of water flow. In addition, the RV plumbing systems have always been designed to a nominal 40 psi rating. After all, we have to buy pressure reducers to to keep a pipe from breaking right? And we buy special shower heads just to feel like we are getting wet.

Well, now comes the ultimate luxury item to be installed in an RV. The modern day, deep dish bathtub.

Can you imagine trying fill one of these things up? Even using hot water only, the water would be cold as heck by the time it was full enough to get in.

I guess they will try anything to get 1st time yuppies to buy an RV. It just goes with everything else that is not designed correctly. Maybe they have an alternate 50 gallon hot water heater they tow behind the rig? Maybe you just fill it up with the hose from outside and then turn on the burners under the tub and wait for it to heat up? Then there is the weight of a full tub. At 8 lbs. per gallon, how did they reinforce the frame? Lastly, how do you think park owners would take to everyone having bathtubs? The septic systems would fill up in just one day. If not a septic system, imagine dumping that much grey water...

Honestly, what are they thinking?

Wonder who is taking their poll, obviously not anyone that's had a rv, for 73% to say "it's cool, I want one".
I agree this is one of the biggest design flaws right up there with plastic spring bushings on any trailer, especially 16-17k ones.
BTW , saw a motorhome a few years ago that had a sauna, very small, but a separate room with electric sauna heater.

Tubs to some degree have been in RVs for decades, just maybe not as big as this one. There are plenty of continuous hot water systems out there now that would make it easy to fill that tub with piping hot water.

There maybe a nitch for a tub, the market will dictate.
