So we have had problems with the black tank valve since we picked up a few weeks ago. The day we got it we went to rv park across the highway to stay a few days and walk thru and have them fix some stuff before we towed home. When we got there I checked to make sure the black and grey valves were shut and they were so , I proceeded to go in and put some tank treatment in the black tank and run some water in tank. Later that night I wanted to hook sewer hose up to be ready when we were going to flush the tanks. When I pulled the cap it was full of blue water( Just bought didn't have my clear pieces on yet. When we took back to dealer they said they were working and they went ahead and lubed the valves anyways. But when I picked up my clear sewer connection was full again, in which they said was maybe a little residual, so we dumped and when I got home full again . What should I do at this point ? Replace valves ? Scream to get fixed ? No solids are coming by just water , so I think the valve is just not shutting all the way

It sounds like you still have an issue....

To be sure, try attaching one of these kind of valve fittings to the end of the line (before connecting your hose). Leave it closed a few days (along with the Black and Gray valves). Now, connect your hose (if you haven't already done so). Open the twist on valve. If you have fluid coming out, then obviously, the black and/or gray tank valves are not holding. You'll need to hold the dealer accountable at that point.

When the tank valves are installed, there are all kinds of plastic pipe trash when the units are put together. Flushing the pies and tanks may not always resolve the issue. There could be plastic pieces stuck in the tracks of the valve gate. If someone tries to force that valve closed, they could damage the rubber rings/gaskets of the valve. It could also be a factory defect.

Once you prove the leak is continuing, get the valves replaced. While you're at it, you might consider installing the electric valves...

WE have that as a back-up with the clear extension attached (single unit) due to the black valve leaking before. It now stays on so the hose connection is 7" closer to the outside, and easier to connect/in-connect. With new knees there is less strain getting up off the ground as before.
