I have trouble after filling both my Lp tanks. I can't get furnace or water heater to light. I don't have a gas stove top that I could bleed air out. The regulator shows clear not red. My guess is I have air lock. Thanks for any replies. 2015 38 GK Lee Manne

You shouldn't be getting air in the lines by refilling the tanks, unless there's a small, leak somewhere. My guess would be to close the valves & reopen very slowly, they have a safety check valve that if opened quickly thinks it's a leak & shuts off or if you hauled them laying down (which I hope NO ONE does this). You also might try slowly opening the valve then connect the line to it, you should hear just a brief squirt of gas as you connect then you'll know it's getting through there, just FYI don't be smoking while testing it by this method or the neighbors will know you got the gas to flow.

I agree with Danny. I've done it many times myself (opening the valve too quickly, it will lock up). And you should not lose propane just because you have disconnected. I do have a stove and pass propane thru there pretty quickly.

Do you have a propane refrigerator? How about a propane furnace? How about a propane water heater? All take several attempts to start if you have an empty line. All will time out quickly and shut down if they don't get gas. In addition, with the electric strike, you can wear them out quickly. BUT...They will eventually start after several recycle attempts. You could try igniting all of them at the same time. That will pull propane forward faster. In the early days, I used to light the refrigerator after sitting in storage for long periods. It would take 3 to 4 attempts to get it to light.

You really need to check for leaks on the current system. Use a spray bottle with a few drops of dish washing soap mixed with water. Spray all fittings. I would bet you could find any small leak.

There is another way but I don't recommend it....

You mentioned "filling both tanks". One way to keep the propane lines filled is to run off one tank (selector knob pointed to that tank), when the indicator turns red switch it to the other tank and refill the empty tank, no air gets in the lines that way.
