Dimmer Lights / Bright Lights

Since we have become full-timers, on occasion, I've noticed the lights getting really bright for a while. Most of the time, they appear "normal". I am suspecting that the "charger" kicks in and out causing the voltage difference.

As an electrician, I'm looking for the easy way out first before I go digging out the tools. I'm suspecting others may have had this problem (or non-problem) first and already have the answer...

Sorry, as I get older, I "think" I'm getting lazier. Especially with retirement so close. I think I'm starting to mellow out. 😉

Are we talking LEDs or incandescent?? If they're good quality LEDs they should be internally regulated so a small voltage shouldn't be an issue. If it's incandescent or halogen a voltage swing would cause them to brighten or dim.

I'm staying with Halogen. My bet is that there is a voltage fluctuation due to the charger kicking on and off. If everyone with Halogen experiences the same issue, I'm not going to worry about it. If it's NOT common, I'll dig out the tools.

I had an issue with the converter at about 2 years of age where it would cause the halogen lamps to flicker. When I took my coach to the Redwood service center to have its 2 year warranty inspection, I reported the issue and the service center was the cause. They replaced it under warranty and I have had no problem with the flickering since then.
